This Privacy Policy describes how AI Expression ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
AI Expression is an expression and presence coaching app that analyzes short videos (e.g. for TikTok-style content) to give you feedback on how you come across—confidence, warmth, eye contact, and related cues. We are committed to transparency about the data we use and where it goes.
The app stores the following only on your device (using Android DataStore/Preferences):
This data is not sent to our servers and is not used to identify you across devices.
If you buy the 24-hour Deep Analysis pass, the purchase is processed by Google Play. Google's billing system handles payment details; we do not see or store your payment information. We receive from Google only the information needed to grant access (e.g. that a purchase was completed) so we can activate the pass on your device. Purchase and subscription data are also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand how the app is used—for example, which screens are viewed and general usage events (e.g. button taps, feature usage). This helps us improve the app. Analytics data is aggregated and does not include your video, face, or personal content. Firebase's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
The app may request:
We use these only for the features described (e.g. recording and analyzing your video). You can revoke permissions in your device settings; some features may then stop working.
If you use in-app sharing (e.g. to share results or images), that data is shared only through the channels you choose (e.g. another app or contact). We do not collect or store the content you share through those actions.
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it where applicable.
If you use the app from outside your home country, your data may be processed in the country where the relevant services (e.g. Google) operate. By using the app, you consent to that transfer to the extent required by law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy in the app or at a link we provide, and we may indicate the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
